I’ve been having some good luck with buying and repairing junk boards and now I’m finally into burning roms. I picked up the gq4x4 and I’m having trouble with it .

I have a kaneko explosive breaker that I got which boots to garbage on the screen. I went and read u18 and u19 and u18 comes up with data but I cannot verify it online ; u19 came back almost blank (ff everywhere). The gfx roms u36-38 also were pretty much blank.

Right now I’m trying to write to the u19 (ts101e) it’s a tms27c010a , which I have erased successfully but when I go to load the rom into the programmer it says “ data size exceed size of device , data file has been truncated” and I can’t write to the rom.

I haven’t tried the others yet as they are being erased right now
what do I do next?

After looking around online I noticed other explosive breaker pcbs that have 27c020 chips instead of the 27c010’s that I have. Those are double the size from what I can see online ; so I got this pcb with the wrong EPROMs? They didn’t have the oem labels on the gfx roms , but u19 and 18 do. Can someone verify my u18? I’ll post the file when I get home

Got the roms burnt and one board comes up with the beginning screen showing the date and master version , then resets over and over.
The second one comes up as a white screen with some purple lines
