Hi everyone, I have a New Astro City with an NVS-4000 power supply, and it seems to me that it's not providing -5V. Could someone tell me if this would cause a problem with games like R-Type or Rainbow Island ? And what solutions do I have to fix it ? Thanks in advance for your answers.

No, the NVS4000 doesn't provide -5v. A quick manual check showed me that R-Type doesn't use -5v, while Rainbow Island does. Typically this means no sound, but there are also some games which won't boot without -5v (for example Carnevil). Solution to fix it is installing a negatron, for example on a jamma passthrough. @FrancoB has sold them in the past, unsure who does now. Fwiw, I have installed the negatron internally on the NVS4000, as the pins were free, it was pretty easy to do so.
