Looking for old (pre-LS-32) Seimitsu joysticks and buttons in any condition. These were common in tables in the early to mid 80s.

Especially looking for this one:

The above LS-7 had iterations with different mounting styles, but the main identifying feature is the full metal construction, see-through design (from side view), and the circular restrictor and pivot components.

Also interested in 24 and 30mm Seimitsu buttons of old, especially the concave style from that era.

I would love to document, restore and rebuild some of these old Seimitsus. Let me know if you can help.

Thanks, I’ve been grinding on YAJ, I’d like to expand my search into ‘one man’s trash is another man’s treasure’ territory.

These were common to Sega’s T-13 table, Seimitsu’s own ‘Computer’ branded third party table panels, and many others I’m sure. Maybe some owners of these cabs have these sticks in their parts graveyards?

LS-22 is in neo geo stick

It was the forerunner of the current 32/40/56 series, its derivative the LS-30, and this one is mother for 33/55 series.

I'll dig into this topic. I'm still looking for the manufacturer and name of these models. The quality is very good, I think it's probably Japanese equipment - it's compact and generally made of good materials.

I do enjoy the LS-22. Feels in many ways like the genesis of the LS-56 line. An interesting tuning is to pair it with a modern bat. I’ve used one of your short throw spacers in this build as well.

As for your mystery sticks, I have one similar to the second, 8-way stick, though in a 4-way configuration. I’ve seen them for sale second hand often in the US. Mine has a leather dust washer.

I suspected they were Japanese joysticks, because the screws look closer to the JIS standard than typical American ones. The LS-22 was a really good design; abandoning it was, in my opinion, a bit of a mistake.
