I just recently got a G-Loc deluxe that movement is dead. Does this solution works with the replacement engines that @ArcadeMachinist uses on is restore ( https://www.arcade-projects.com/threads/sega-g-loc-complete-restoration-saga.16098/ ) ?

Hi berty, hi everyone,

As I mentioned to you privately, I’m currently restoring a Sega G-LOC Deluxe here in France.

The cabinet has suffered from significant corrosion, including on the motion control electronics. The base is now almost completely stripped, and I’m arranging for it to be professionally blasted and repainted.

My aim is to preserve as much of the original hardware as possible, but its condition will determine what can realistically be saved. Open Motion G-LOC is therefore a very interesting option if I’m unable to restore the original motion electronics.

Thanks for developing and sharing this project. It’s encouraging to see another way of bringing these machines back to life!

I’m documenting the restoration step by step on Gamoover. It’s in French, but there are plenty of photos.
