Hi,
I have been working on and currently testing a in-line board with some functionality I would like to have on my own cabinets, and will be releasing this as open source once I have tested and made sure it is not going to blow anything up :)

Edit: I have made a few changes and have tested this on my own cab/hardware. If you choose to build/use one of these it is as with all projects at your own risk. I am providing no warranties or support and I cannot guarantee compatibility with your hardware. This was built for me for use on my own hardware

KiCAD project files and Gerbers are available on GitHub

Features:

- Voltmeter (5v/12v switchable)
- Service, Test and Coin buttons
- DIP switches to enable/disable button 4 and 5 on JAMMA edge
- NEW: 5V and 12V outputs

I have also created a variant to suit Primal Rage which remaps Button 1 to Start and the bottom 2 buttons to 4/5 using CPS1 or CPS2 kick harness. This variant also has a Mono/Stereo switch for sound output from the JAMMA connector (not yet released)

Probably not really important but why would you leave the key on the connector side "float" for no reason?

Because I haven’t figured out what to do with it yet. This is still a prototype board

I guess I’ll just add the extra pads so it can be soldered down on the final revision but it doesn’t really make much of a difference

This is so close to exactly what I have had in mind for my enclosure projects with one caveat... A couple JST headers for the 5v and 12v lines.

Not trying to invoke feature creep, but any hope of adding something like that?

No such thing as feature creep when it’s open source :)

I don’t need 5v/12v headers for my application and it will need a larger PCB to provide space

The existing voltmeter connection can have a header added instead and can support either 5v or 12v with the switch or you can modify the design to add headers for both in addition to the voltmeter if that’s what you need

I have one of these riddledTV boards on my test bench rigged up with a junk JAMMA harness and a spare Peter Chou for power. Not needing a separate controller makes my test supergun super compact--maybe it would be possible to do a version like this that has the full array of buttons too?

I have considered something like this for a test rig. But it will need to wait until after other projects I’m working on are done

As with the request from plasticfactory above - I’m releasing the design files as open source so if someone else wants to do it the base design is there :)

I have made a few changes including adding 5V and 12V outputs as suggested by @plasticfactory using 2 pin JST VH connectors
