Hey guys,

I recently got my first cab and have been fixing a number of problems on it, it's quite old and seems to be one of the chinese xxxxx in 1 knockoff cabs.

It is a Games Family P4-4P, I read as much info that i can about them but in regard to upgrading all discussion seems to focus on leaving the same mobo on the jamma and simply
adding better cpu/ram.

I cant see why changing out the entire matx board would cause any harm to the jamma controller board, but to be safe If anyones worked with such a system and has seen one changed over to a newer C2D / i5 / i7 please let me know.

some pics of the unit and stuff:

put back together

I have this spare Core2 (and extra spacers as needed), it would be a significant improvement for speed, temperature and reliability if I can get confirmation that I wont cook or harm the jamma in any way ditching the ghastly older platform

cheers,
qwert
