I recently created an EZ-Swap PCB holder because swapping PCBs was a point of friction when it came to playing games. I wanted something easy, and I came up with a three-point configuration that allows most PCBs to be swapped out with a single screw. UPDATE: with a thumb screw! You can read about how they were designed if you like.

I'm offering them for sale because I have a photo studio I need to build and the photography biz ain't the career for people who hate weddings and children but still like money. ;)

Anyway, I am offering a full set in your choice of whatever colours I have on hand, and a carbon fibre option (that stuff is strong af). This includes two base holders, the slider rail, and the slider assembly itself. This has gone through a lot of testing, a bunch of iterations, and has been tested with an OG Donkey Kong boardset that weighs in at 2.3kg (~5lb) so I'm quite confident about the load capacity.

Very cool! I have something similar I mounted in one of my cabinets. For extra PCBs in your machine, you could mount these kits using some stand offs and you can then screw a PCB down under it too :D

It seems to me I could fairly easily do a 2-board version. At least conceptually, it's easy, the devil's in the details as usual. But also, that's more of a semi-permanent mount, not so much EZ-Swap. But dang, now I want to do that. =D

Interesting, I wonder could you have your EZ-Swap clamps on both sides and then have the whole thing standing off the wooden board. So you could fit one on each side.

So imagine in my photo if the PCB that's screwed to the board was actually also connected to the EZ Swap holder.

I'm going to need you to draw me a diagram, my friend. O_o?

The EZ Swap PCB Holders have been updated with an all-new thumbscrew design! Everyone who bought a set can get a free upgrade to the new design.
