I've owned both. I wouldn't say much better. JP OutRun 2 SP has a nicer stock monitor and the seat cushions are more comfortable. The artwork looked a bit shinier (foil backed).

That's about it.

We were lucky in Europe. We got more or less similar cabs to Japan. The US got the short end of the stick.
