Powering 2 pieces namco system 256 boards with 1 PSU

Is it safe (or is it even possible) to power

2 namco system 256 boards with the 246/256 IO...... using 1 powersupply?


the namco boards are (gundam Vs gundam next)

I want to put them inside a Sega Versus City Cabinet , using one power supply

the power supply I'll be using is a

Min Dong
MD-AT300
+5v --20A
+12v --- 8A


is this setup possible?
Electrically safe?

Considering most of those Min Dong power supplies are barely enough to power 1 Namco System 256 board, I would not recommend this.

Redundancy is a blessing: if one psu goes banana then at least half of the system will be working.
If you have one PSU for two boards, then you might fry two boards for the price of one psu if that one dies in very bad way...
Even with a better PSU I wouldn't do it anyway.
