FS Price check on VO panel/sticks, Hikaru mobos.

For Sale
Out of curiosity what revision is the VO Force ROM board that you have? There were 3 revisions of these ROMs released (7.5, 7.6 and 7.7). AFAIK there are only minor balance updates between the versions, but it's relevant information for anyone interested in multiplayer linking.

---------------------
FWIW I've seen Hikaru boards with the VO Force ROM board installed and listed on YAJ for around $1000 and not sell until the price was dropped to the $700-$800 range. I've seen the VO Force ROM board alone listed for around $400 and not sell (no idea what they actually sold at as a deal was made off line for a lower price).

I'm not so in-tuned with Hikaru stuff to know what the going rate is for other games.

It's just hard to tell since working Hikaru stuff is so hard to find. Like I said in a PM I've bought two Nascar sets for $100 each but it's probably the most common Hikaru game. Really hard to put a price on the others. Pod Racer probably the least expensive. I can say that.

I'd love to have a couple of Hikaru boards with VO Force 7.7, Planet Harriers too, but yeah the chance of those things breaking in transit has kept me away; it seems like an expensive gamble.

this is a sega twin unit:

To my knowledge this is the only cab VO Force ever came in.

Yeah sitdown cab that's the one as oppose to the Naomi style panels.
The other panels were designed for Sega Versus City Cabs (OMG) and Sega New Versus City Cabs (VOOT), (Though they're the same shape panels as Sega's other Candy Cabs). The joke is that you sit down when playing those cabs too so saying "the sitdown cab" doesn't clear anything up.

The sticks in your Force panel look to be legit Sega /VO Force sticks (though I'd need to see the underside of the panel to say for sure. They're the most sought after sticks for VO.

The force panel you've got is for the player 1 side. and it's not worth too much on it's own ($50-$75?) the sticks are worth about $100 a piece though IMO they're worth slightly LESS if included with the panel because most people don't want it and it tends to drive the shipping cost way up.

Before we had Japanese cabs imported over here we had to cut-down 'uprights' to have 'sit-downs lol.
Hence the only sitdowns we had were the driving cabs.

Right but Twin units are the same all over the globe, they're called that because they share a coin door between the two sides so they always come as a pair.

And to be fair the Versus city variants of VO were never officially exported out of Japan. So the only time you would have ever seen a stand-up VO game is if someone build that themselves.

Earlier this year I spent around $300 for my Planet Harriers Set complete with Panel (with type 1 I/O) and power supply. It was shipped from California with board still in cage, heat sinks were hot glued, cage was stuffed with bubble wrap, cage was in a box that was in the larger box that held the panel and power supply. Still an excellent game to plug in and play every once in a while. Still do not regret that price as it is such a great piece in my collection that I have never seen in any arcade for play.

Ok shipping scaredycats I've got a few romboards knocking about too, Brave firefighters, pod racer, 3 Nascars lol and a Virtual on force (4) rev E (not sure what that means?)
