I have a big problem of conversion. ?(


I took the good set of rom Last Bronx Jap rev.A with the Good references of Eproms burned

here is what I have on the screen :/

Here is the follow-up of instructions

mpr-19050.11/mpr-19051.12/mpr-19048.9/mpr-19049.10/mpr-19052.17/mpr-19053.21/mpr-19057.32/mpr-19058.34 => 4Mo With 27C322


mpr-19055.27/mpr-19054.25 => 2Mo With 27C160


epr-19046a.15/epr-19047a.16/mpr-19056.31 => 512Ko With 27C4096

assuming that you have merged the files correctly, which I haven't checked, I think you should also set the jumpers to the same configuration that last Bronx would have.

So let me see if I get this right. You removed 13 eproms and replaced with only 3??

I changed all Eprom & Mask Rom by new Eprom :)



I made the change Jumpers as you advise me ;)

I have no sound no musics :confused:





It works but I have glitch







 
I see that you have 3x AMD Eproms that are -120. Those could be too slow.

First thing I'd do would be changing those 3.
 
what do you think me as a substitute Eprom ?

I used little
M27C322-10F1 ST 32MBIT 100NS or M27C160-100F1 ST 16MBIT 100NS
For the test ?
 
These AMD are 27C4096 -120 change for 27c4096-100. Maybe that fixes the problem.

do you think my conversion problem from my US final fight to Jap with Glitch would come from a speed problem of Eprom's too ? ?(

It never hurts to re-verify your roms in the appropriate section. Check MAME source to see which roms are audio perhaps, check those 1st.

Using 100ns is a good idea, but with age of this hardware I would be surprised if 120ns isn't fast enough. Worth checking and replacing with faster rom but don't assume that's your only issue.

Do you have the roms you removed? Maybe we can find out their response times from the ICs.
 
New Eprom arrived & Programmed but still the same graphic problem & still no sound

The new Eprom M27C4002-45XF1 that replaces the AMD 27C4096 -120 have arrived and have been programmed.

But the same graphic problem and sound are still present ;(





 
The news I have sound but all and mixed is inaudible:pinch:



But still the graphical problem ?(

I erase all the eprom and I start again :evil:

i wouldnt be surprised if this is a jumper issue,
check the pinout of your eproms against the mask roms you removed.
any pins that dont match - check the traces on the board to see if they go to links/jumpers and if they connect to the right place.

sega boards have been like this since system16!
 
I would need a real HD photo from the ROM Board someone would have this on the forum?
