I used a minipro tl866cs I got cheap from eBay to burn the pal for my sf2 to gng conversion when I discovered the gq-4x doesn't do pals.

Those TL866 are really useful for some basic stuff like GALs, especially given the price.

But if you don't already own as programmer I'd get the VP-390 and then you can do everything including logic testing
