FS Project Chinese Bootleg Initial D8 Pair, $1500 OBO

Chinese bootleg (running offiical software on a ringedge from another game, official I/O) initial d8s available in Yonkers, New York.

Issues:
- Monitors are dead. Possibly a PCB issue, possibly a panel issue. One PCB went up in smoke when I plugged it in the wrong way (but it was already dead.) I would recommend just throwing in a 32".
- One machine boots, the other one doesn't.
- One machine is missing control keys but these are on the way.
- Same machine is missing the plastic panel that goes behind the steering wheel.

I can help source many replacement parts if needed. Price is $1,500 or best offer. Local pickup available 40min north of NYC or shipping via Beltmann (this will be expensive if not along the east coast.) Pictures attached.

Good price on the cabs IMO. The original monitors on these are junk, you will want to replace them even if they were working.

The motherboard, software, IO, drive board, steering wheel assembly and pedals are all legit. The marquee and artwork also looks OEM.

PSUs are Mean Wells.

The stepdown transformer is also decently made.

Audio amp, monitor and seat rails are admittedly junk.

If it works I would be interested in knowing the model of the drive board. The connection from the motherboard is straight and doesn't use a converter like the JPN cab.

The entire setup is bootleg. The ringedge is running official software with either a ReKey or a NoKey.

Fairly certain, as there is no UNIS branding anywhere to be found on the cabinet, not even on the back sticker. Also, there is no such thing as OEM Initial D8 marquees to be found in China, as the game was never officially released there. Every upgrade is bootleg, even if applied to a legitimate UNIS Initial D5-D8 game.

(Fun fact: they're still making bootleg D8s in China!)

Mine has original dongles. Well, at least the stickers have the correct codes. Do you think the stickers don't actually match the PICs inside?

I wonder how they're sourcing the hardware for these cabs. There has to be thousands of them.

Also, do you know where the export version of the game was officially released in?
