Yaton has some of the more obscure and sought after cabs up for auction right now for anyone looking at doing a container, the price isn't shabby at all (but the condition for some kinda is). It's not everyday you see bulk lots of Aero City, Impress and Capcom Q25 doing the rounds eh?:

The price on those Aero City's are about $750 a person after you pay the import fees on the 40ft container. That's not a deal by any means.

And before domestic shipping..

These are the leftovers after XeD's and nem's orders. The Q25's don't have rotation mechs or JAMMA harnesses.

And those Impress are an Impress-ive color...

The Q25s are parts cabs.
- water damaged, frames are all wood.
- missing essential parts that are hard to find.
- Not worth the price offered regardless of rarity and the shipping.

I'm not mentioning rotation mechs as they are not standard on these cabs, its a huge convenience factor and adds to the rarity of the machine.

While the Aeros can take a beating, DZ already did the math. The issue with Cyberleads and the Impresses is the plastics from age, they get very brittle and have to be handled according, with special care. Otherwise you will find them in pieces.

Yaton can be reasoned with. For instance those Q25s are super obvious project cabs. You can negotiate those prices down by a lot. I paid less than half what my cabs were initially offered for. There's a lot of work involved in parting cabs out, and if the parts are not worth much, you're in a good place to throw down offers. The Q25s are worth jack all as parts.

I seen him adding more of these on his listings,

Yanton is a fair seller but you are not getting a deal here at all. You are paying at or above retail price for a container of cabs.

Just my oppinion

The Cyber Lead cabs don't look in too bad shape but you'd need to know which IO board is in them and whether the JVS is still intact

I can't see these surviving shipping. They're super brittle. I sold a really nice cyberlead about a decade ago and the two folks who bought it dropped it on its back while loading it into a pickup. The sides smashed into a million little purple bits.

I just kept my eyes on the ground and slowly backed into my apartment lobby.

If you drop it you're going to have problems with any cab - I have an image in my head now of you with your head down backing into your lobby though :P

Yes the plastics are brittle but no worse than any other fibreglass cab, they would need to be handled properly. I've moved mine long distance twice now.

The price is fairly high as others have said though.

In my mind, that drop would have been fine with any Sega cab. That's why metal cabs are the best. They take a beating and keep kicking. 8)

And yes, that scene was as funny as it seems. They couldn't get the tail gate of the pickup to go down, so they decided to lift it over it. At the time, I was recovering from a car accident, so I didn't dare lift the machine. The whole time I sat there saying in my mind "holy shit, there going to fuck this cab up"...and they certainly did. It was a shit show and from that point on I haven't bought a candy that I can't move by myself.

Not all plastic is the same. This is a sample pic of a Cyberlead that Yaton sent me:

A Sega cab would never crack like that. And yes, yes, before someone corrects me, I know a lot of it is fiberglass on a Sega cab -- obviously there's a reason for it!

You guys gotta remember there are plenty of different plastics out there, resins, and additives used. The purple make up on Cyberleads is horrible with sunfading and they do get extremely brittle and crack over time. Some are lucky and get ones that were on location in dark places with little sunlight, however most of them have been either stored in warehouses with plenty of natural light or on location for years near windows. Really gonna be hit or miss with cabs that were in JP and migrated down to China. It's just reality, not a reflection on Yaton.
