PSU & Transformers cable type

Hello there,

Seems that any PSU 5V / -5V / 12V positions, any rocker switch on/off to switch the cab on/off and any transformer like this one :

needs UL1007 / AWG 18 wires.

I think UL1015 supports more heat, and I thought about replacing my UL1007 AWG 18 to UL1015 AWG20...
It depends on the heat but maybe other parameters should be considered ? What's your opinion on this ? Maybe some UL1015 / AWG 20 will be alright too ?

AWG20 is a smaller diameter wire. If possible I would go up in diameter but not down.

Heat is not the issue, resistance is. More resistance, more heat.
