Greetings everyone,

I have a problem with a Sony PVM-14M4E which i am struggling with - all adjustment of the horizontal deflection (service menu settings, E/W correction, underscan, etc.) does not work.
I have attempted to follow a guide for that issue (removal of L509 after which the image has not shrunk, then inspection of the diodes), however diodes seem to be fine when tested out of circuit.

Would anyone know what else could cause this and what i have missed?
Thanks in advance.

If my memory is still good you have to replace ic109 M62358FP-El.
It is surface mount , also replace all the caps in that area is a good idea since usually they are cooked by lots of heatsink just near them.

Was afraid that one of the ICs was the case, but the issue happened to be pretty simple (a shorted C514).
Replacing it resolved all the issues with horizontal adjustment, but the picture is overall wavy, this probably requires a PSU recap.

Well done! Its rare that one of those PP caps fail , but nothing is impossible after lots of years.
