What connector do I need for the KIC 045DX to play JAMMA games? The KIC 045DX has 18 pins on the connector.. JAMMA has 28..

I have just been asked to make one of these harnesses for someone else, I could do a small batch. Does anyone else need this connector. Pinout looks the same as the 3 button Combo AV.

Here is how its looking (sorry for the terrible photos).
Kk 396 (12p) taking power and AV, latching IDC taking controls (26p). Added a test and service button at the supergun end and OLED voltmeter with input switched for output of either. 5v or 12v

I played around with the design a bit and sent off the files to be printed. Features are:
OLED voltmeter that can read both 5v & 12v
12p Kk396 cable 18awg taking power & A/V
26p latching IDC cable for controls
Test and service button added to the supergun end.

My question is can anyone who owns one of these tell me how long the cable should be. This is NOT how long is an original harness but how long SHOULD an original harness have been.

Also does anyone have a full list of the many names the supergun that takes this harness go by? From my research there is a bunch with this 18 way (36p) slot the KIC045DX, COMBO AV (not EX++) etc. Then a bunch that have a 23 way (?) Slot like the Pana and EX++ versions of the COMBO AV. However if they could all be noted that would be amazing.

They will be black and I am making this for someone so there will be 4 extra if anyone is interested.

Sorry to totally hijack this thread but I figured this was better all in one place.

Update on how this is looking. Black PCBs ordered. This should be a fair upgrade on the original one in terms of both how it looks and how it functions.

I added test and service button functionality, without a service button I am interested in how people accessed the menu of pcbs without a dip or button to access the service menu?

The OLED voltmeter claims 0.08% accuracy in its datasheet. This is the first time I have used one but if thats correct it will save alot of calibration time and should give a really reliable reading of voltage at the JAMMA edge (PCB). It does however use M1.6 screws for mounting which i still need to track down.

I dont actually own one of these superguns. This was a project I took on at someone else's request. At 1 unit of sales I will be in the red on this so I am hoping a few other people may be interested, but if not it has beena fun project. We have settled on a 60cm cable length (1'11 1/2").

I will test continuity at my end but final testing will need to be done at the other end with the actual supergun. I think I typically only get about 2/3 of pcb designs 100% right first time. I have checked and double checked everything but thats still going to be interesting. Ill update further once its assembled and again once its tested with the SuperGun.

OLED voltmeter does what it says on the packet (0.1% accuracy). Buzzed everything out and we look good, just needs a JAMMA edge and some screws for the voltmeter

Just need to mount that voltmeter. Pretty happy with how it came up.

Pretty happy with the result. I think with the onboard volmeter reading both 5v and 12v and the service and test buttons its a fair improvement.
