Hey. Can someone please convert this to the Darksoft Neo Geo Multi and share?

Hey you with the complete ng romset, add Rally Chase (the cartridge version) to your romset!

Why? Rally Chase is a CD-exclusive re-release of Thrash Rally, but it's easier and has manual transmission. For many it is the superior version of the game!

A friend did most of the work converting it from the CD. Enjoy.

Replace four of the files in a Thrash Rally set with these four files:

I was going to make one, but the instructions were a little more complicated than I expected. I figured someone here with a Darksoft cart who is used to doing it could just do it more easily. If someone wants to make one, I'll be happy to add it to all my posts while I still can.

That's a good question! Someone would have to swap the P roms on their original cart with these ones to find out! I would love to know, but I'm not willing to do it on my cart.

Only the P roms are necessary for testing this. The C rom updates are just for making the title display correctly.
 
After doing some checking I found that 3 of the 4 roms already existed in HBMAME for a long time. Only the p1 rom is new, and fixes the bad graphics on the title screen.

So, thanks for that, the game (trallycd) now looks fine (in the next release, 0.245.11).

What were the CD graphics files doing there without the P rom to make them work?

The P rom does a more than fix the graphics. The CD specific 68K commands were removed.
