Red screen (security error)

I was in the process of calibrating my Rc De Go controller to play and my screen went completely red. Now I cannot reflash nor have any kind of resolvable solution for this. I was told by an online arcade vendor this is caused by a security error specifically in the cat702 Ic. I noticed this chip is soldered in. If I had to desolder it then correct it with a programmer or a good working cat702 then possibly this might resolve the issue but thats just a hunch. Im just not sure if Im looking in the right place but any insight would be much appreciated. I cannot access any service menu or like I said earlier reflashing (setting jumper 1) does nothing and just left with what seems like a permanent red screen. Thanks. Luckily I have a back up board so still playing thankfully.

Explain to him that, first of all, you cannot fix a CAT702 issue just like that with a standard programmer.

Tell him to start by inspecting its solder joints.
He might also have broken solder joints on the two big Sony chips on the motherboard.

He should carefully check the solder joints from IC401 to IC407,
as well as the joints on the two Omron board-to-board connectors (DIN 41612, 96-pin).

Let him know that I previously had a red screen issue on one of my Sony ZN/ZN2 motherboards,
and going through all these checks fixed the problem. Maybe it was just luck, but it worked.

Tell him that I have recently reflowed all these types of solder joints across all my ZN1/ZN2 systems—20 boards in total.

Mention that I also found another culprit once: the Intel E28F400 flash chip at U27 (which is specifically dedicated to audio data storage and decoding). @Hammy, correct me if I'm wrong.

This chip was completely blocking the G-NET system from flashing.
