Have any of you done this? Which bulb did you use that's as close to OG as possible?

Any diagrams?

I like keeping things original - but I believe there is some interference on my vertical cab on the left side of the screen from the ballast.

Plus LED is overall safer.

Recently did this. Went with this bulb https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0114FSQGY?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 works as a perfect drop in replacement. I would recommend going for the 3000k instead of 4000 as it is waaay too bright in pictures and looks far from the original fluorescent. In actual use it looks fine.

You just need to unscrew the ballast, cut the existing wires and then solder the 2 connections on each side and replace the bulb.

I also had interference on certain PCBs due to the ballast and doing this conversion cleared it right up.

Is it the 12v model?
