WTB RGB SCART to YUV Converter

Want To Buy
I highly recommend this!

I know, looks like a cheap PoS, only its not... Works awesome, and has a ton of fine tune adjustment pots just under the cover/hood.
I would never pay 100$ (or more) for a SCART to component adapter, its dead tech bro basically only tube TVs are going to reliably display 240p via YPrPb. ;)

Don't expect to plug component into your brand new 4K TV and have it display 240p, cuz that's not going to happen.
Even if the TV supports it (which it very likely will not) virtually every LCD/LED/OLED sees 240p incorrectly (as interlaced 480).

I have it and that BA7230 is significantly better.

@jassin000 I'll get a OSSC if I ever connect old consoles or Supergun you a modern TV. I want the component converter for a really nice tube TV I have which doesn't have SCART (as most of our TVs like yours in the US didn't have) - I know you don't like CRT but I do :P

I've seen the output from the Specialty AV/CSY-2100 clones and it's good but my understanding is the Shinybow is better. I've built a couple of circuits using the BA7230LS and not got any output from them at all but they are designed to be installed into a console or in a TV and connected to the component inputs directly where I was trying to run them from the SCART plug (I did try connecting it directly to the Supergun and still didn't get a picture though even with the +5 from the JAMMA edge)

CRT vs LCD aside, this is what I've been told as well... But I would like to know what about the Shinybow IS exactly better?
I'm willing to accept color space, because the Specialty AV box isn't very accurate in that regard.

But what I'm having a real hard time with is the "smooth" statement above, because I've never seen that at all.
The pixels are just as sharp and in 100% the same positions as pure SCART, only the colors aren't as vivid.

I have a genuine csy2100. It works great, sharp image and perfect colour balance/brightness. Works fine on CRT but also works fine on modern displays.

There is a difference between the clone versions, colours are definitely not as good.

I like the Shinybow as it incorporates audio.
