So I have a RingEdge 2 multi system up and running after a lot of hassle. But I have a nagging question.... what would the process be to access the drive contents to make changes (add or remove games etc)? In it's current state, the drive isn't seen by a Windows PC and shows as uninitialized on Unix. I suspect this is due to the "partition locking" step in building a multi system that is still a bit unclear to me.

Thoughts?

The drive needs to be unlocked. If you have a Windows machine you can use Victoria. On Linux you can use hdparm in the terminal. Google 'ringedge' and your brand of drive for the unlock key.

Also, I suggest you just turn off security on the motherboard, so you don't have to bother with locking and unlocking shenanigans in the future.

PS. this thread will self-destruct in 5... 4... 3... 2... 1...
