Good morning.
I have an original Transformers Human Alliance piece of furniture.
It turns on, works, then inexplicably turns off, for no apparent reason.
And you turn off the motherboard, the LED stays on.
The power supply was replaced, the thermal paste on the processor was replaced (which doesn't heat up anyway), the battery and the video card were also replaced, but to no avail.

I have the original recovery disc (DVD) and would like to try reinstalling the game, but I don't have the drive.

Is it possible to use another drive to restore, and connect directly to a SATA socket?

Also, how should we proceed?

Thanks to anyone who can help me.

IIRC you can use any USB DVD drive, but you'll need a USB adapter.

On another note, reinstalling will likely not solve the problem. The problem is likely the motherboard. Check the capacitors for leaking.

Thank you very much for the reply.

I have already checked the entire board, cleaned it and have not noticed any electrolyte leaks, but I absolutely cannot rule out the possibility of a fault.

Are there some that fail frequently, or is the probability the same for all those on the card?

I need to restore this game as soon as possible, it's been down for two months now.

Thank you.

The caps can dry out, they won't necessarily bulge or leak.

Ring Edge 2 motherboards are cheap. I would try a different one.

I have found that they are very poor quality, but I have an original game in an arcade, I wouldn't want to use emulators.
Are there other MBs that can be replaced?

Sorry, you misunderstood me. It needs to be RE2. Just get a replacement RE2.

Ah ok, yes, already bought one, anyway I will try to repair that broken.
