I drive a Kia EV6 that has power outlets in the trunk. I thought it would be fun to have a portable setup where i can have my CRT and CPS3 in the trunk plugged in for play.

Is there anything I should be concerned about with a setup like this? I've read that changes in voltage could be bad for the CPS3.

you would need both 5V and 12V to power on a CPS3 board, may be something like DC 12V to 110V AC Car Outlet Inverter connected TO Meanwell RT65A TO HAS Supergun TO CPS3 board should get it working. There might be reliable solutions to convert 12V to output 12V and 5V but I have not used any such solutions.

edit: if you car already has 120V AC outlet then you dnt need DC to AC inverter and should be good to go. I was assuming its an old school 12V DC cigratte outlet.

Thank you! I did a little more research and it looks like my car has both 12V outlets designed for charging small items like phones as well as 120V AC outlet that could power larger items. May give it a try in the future :)

You would definitely want to run the CRT off the 120V outlet - they draw a lot of current

At that point you may as well just run a Mean Well as suggested for the CPS3
