Safe to use higher voltage cap? NNC monitor maintenance.

Hi!

I need to do some maintenance on the vertical deflection on a PD1843 chassis.

Would it be safe to replace a 33uf 16V cap with a 33uf 63V cap?
same uf, but higher voltage.

Safe or stupid?

If it fits in the space, it’s safe. It just means it could take more voltage before failure, not that it’s using more voltage. The capacitance is the important number, that should match.
