EDIT- it’s a 29e31s monitor and I need to get VGA/Power/degauss connected to a blast.

Hi all! I opened one of my brand new Sanwa PFX monitors, and surprisingly it doesn’t have the VGA connector.

I had heard mention that some of the chassis didn’t have one standard? So strange.

Any ideas of how to get one wired up?

(I’m putting this in an old empty Blast City shell. Yes I know I need to modify the bezel :)

If you have a standard blast harness, you will have to rewire that sanwa connector to the RGB/S/G/AC/Degauss Lines used by the blast city, (And Astros) It's a 15 Pin TE Universal Power AMP connector.
Instead of the connector you have there in the pictures you wire it up with this connector:

I'm not sure about the VGA line on that chassis. That seems more complicated to wire up.

HUH!!!! wow I dont think.... hold on let me check something

ok so that looks like the 29e31s vga chassis there should be two headers that a vga port gets connected to 2 seperate pin headers I can send you one let me get some pics

Wish I could flex like that :) :)

You may want to look into the A1 scaler, originally designed because my cab was 31K only..

I’m fine with a 31khz only monitor, I can totally use scalers if I wanted to… I just want VGA hooked up to this fucker. 😂

I pulled it out of a stack of boxes that all had standard PFX monitors I’ve been using in other cabs, and it had the same box… so I didn’t even look at the models on the chassis or tube. Lemme get in there and take a look later.

Solved. THANK YOU EVERYONE!!

I’m a doof and didn’t see the model number and assumed it was a PFX.

It’s a 29e31s

NOW… to find a schematic/manual and figure out how do I get VGA in here :p

Stack of boxes!? I'll be in San Jose again if you have any extras 😁

Sanwa schematics are not always the most clear…

Hoping these helps and hey, if you want the connector and wire, send me a pm and i’ll mail it out… its a spare i have and was unfortunately cut on the other side…
