I’m totally new to both machines and Jamma actually but both machines look like the pics attached.it’s just all jumbled.I’m sure this is something I’m doing wrong so any help is much appreciated.i did try and MVS and CPS2 and they both are doing it

Both machines doing the same thing.. indicates to me that its the game and not the machines You say the cps2 does this exact same thing? Can you post a pic

Looks like both your CPS2 and MVS are malfunctioning. The actual monitors look fine on both.
Check 5v on both cabinets, with the PCBs connected, measuring at the Jamma edge. Adjust the PSU getting it close to 5v, I usually go for 5.05v at the edge with a game connected. Whenever you swap out PCBs you should always check this.
Check & clean the cartridge and slot contacts on the MVS.
Reseat the CPS2 A+B boards, making sure you use a little force to fully connect each of the 4 connectors.
