SEGA Control Panel Pics Thread

Do you happen to have the DC port to Naomi cables that go with the capcom panel? If so i could really use a picture of either end so i can make some for mine, as they didn't come with it!
Thanks.

Sorry this picture isn't great. It's just a 4 wire cable that connects to the maple bus.

it looks pretty simple. if those ports connectors are the same ones in the dreamcast we could probably repo that PCB with some high resolution photos of both sides and measurements of the mounting holes and PCB dims.

I also have the SEGA version of the PCB that came in my typing cab. They're essentially the same thing, they just convert dreamcast port to maple bus connector. I think most of the circuitry is not really needed because I've seen DC controllers with the connector cut off and spliced into a maple bus connector. But yeah, I can take some pics of both sides of both pcbs if it helps anyone...

Thanks for the reply and the pic, I just needed to confirm the pinout either end of the cable.

I have some jst NH and jst PH connectors on the way to make them up it just wasn't 100% on the wiring.

Iirc the pcb has some diodes and either fuses or decoupling caps on the back as well, I'll have to check, I did notice from some awful pics I found online that only 4 out of the 6 wires are used, I think they omit ground and pin 3, but always best to check.

Once I have it all sorted and working I'll make a seperate post, I know its fairly trivial, but I've been unable to find this info anywhere and hopefully it will help someone else in future.

If you Could do a pic of both ends of the cable side by side so you can see which wire goes in which hole that would be amazing.

Thanks

mine started life as a lupin the typing, maybe that's the difference? I used the board for ttotd but got rid of my cart because of non-english strings. i also installed 2 dreamcast extension cables in the other leg and use that for DC ttotd.

For those interested I've created a much more through list of known panels on my blog: http://solid-orange.com/1805

The 2L12B you have in the comments is legit, however, AFAIK it was sold only as an overlay. You could have slapped it on any panel. I bought mine from Giz10p in 2016. @AndyGeezer sold them also. The part number is NOU-2001. I think they were made for a New Naomi Universal cab (the Euro version of the NNC), but that never panned out. There's no license text on it, because it was made by Sega.

I'll look through my stash of panels and see if you're missing any. I can at least take better pics for a few of them (including the Sanwa licensed 1L panels). Off hand I can only think of the Konami Bass Angler panel that's not on your list at all.

That a single player version of the Bandai Namco BannaPass control panel

it's basically a classic panel with the artwork from the Namco Noir, used by Tekken Tag 2, Tekken 7 and other Joystick Namco games from that era.

Nice find! I had the 2P version but not the 1P version. I've added it to the list.
