This is the route I've gone. Just need to fabricate a mount at this point. It looks /super/ promising held up with books and boxes, haha.
I already registered and read his post 10 times already and he is using the MW621ST not the MW632ST. but it does matter at this point one of the two will work. I have a lead for a MW632ST which works but has a strached lens then I will replace the whole lens with a new one. hopefully I will not pay 800$.
right now I'm trying to undestand the way the cab was originally wired. I still dont understant how the trapeze mirror is mounted in the cab. do you guys know??? because the italian guys setup is. projector send image to the trapeze mirror and from the trapeze it goes to the screen.

Yeap that's my mistake I was planning to use MW632ST but its neither here nor there, the MW621ST went out of production nearly 7 years ago, the 632 replaced it and is still the current model hence better availability.

The mirror bolts to the frame, rotate it so the mirror is facing the front of the cab and the brackets on each corner line up with holes in the frame. The italian guys setup is nothing unique as such, that's the exact principle on how the original worked, he just removed all the tubes/chassis etc from the bottom and put a modern projector in there with a longer throw.

Paging @OsirusANZ who recently pimped one of these out.
Haha yeah we spoke over Facebook when they picked them up. The 36in monitor I have in mine has seemed to disappear lucky I bought it when I did.
Any pics?
I’ve actually sold that cab now I’ll upload a pic later today. But the monitor that fit inside was a Phillips 356M6QJAB. Left around 5-10mm gap either side of the screen. Filled that 41” hole pretty good though.

Not wanting to derail this thread but seeing that it is about the mighty Megalo 410 I just noticed both of mine have the VS kit installed, was that a standard feature?

Also have some weird aluminium overlay. On one cab its on the inlay panel, on the other its on the control panel.

The cabs themselves

Which RGB to hv converter did you decide on.

There are a couple lag free options and line doubling may be necessary if your going with a replacement projector.

Can you please send me a picture and references of the speakers and the way they are wired? or measurment? anything that can help me find replacement? also do you still have the original rear projection crt in both cab?

Your “VGA” your converting rgbs to rgbhv.

I was wondering what model you chose for this.

Also wondering if you decided on a projector and whether the projector would properly scale 240p or if you would need to add scan lines to a line doubled image.

Good luck. I’m rooting for you. Those megalos are a beautiful breed

I haven't decided yet, I'm looking for the original rgb to vga that came with the megalo picture below., no luck so far. any suggestion for RGB to VGA? I decided to go with a projector on one and an 37 lcd on the other one (mainly to see the difference between the too, also to lessen the coast of restoration and also I have only one trapeze mirror so I can setup only one projector) I don't know if I will need to add scan lines or not. one will be wired jamma and the other one (lcd) JVS. I decided to use the BenQ MW623ST, I saw one on ebay working however the lens has a scratche on it so you have a big blurry patch in the middle of the display but I checked out how to replace the lense and I think I can do it. sooo for around 300 I can get it or I can try to bargain with the guy who gave them to me he has one (MW623ST) available.

right now I'm trying to undestand the way the cab was originally wired.
Where are you confused on this? Mine is fully in tact aside from the actual tubes.
I dont have the speaker and look in the speaker compartment on both side left and right I can see JST plugs, so I'm wondering how was the speaker plugged?
also I dont have a jamma or jvs harness in mine so I trying to figured out how the harness interface with the rest of the wiring in the cab?
some pictures also might help.

That's how the cab is wired. Everything goes into that board and that board goes out to the JAMMA harness you can see laying on the floor in the first Pic.
