Hello Everyone,

I'm just looking for some guidance regarding a PCB I recently acquired. I have it listed for $1,000 on facebook based off of ChatGPT's recommendation but I feel like it might be a bit too high. I'm not one of those "I know what I have" guys and would welcome some guidance on pricing it appropriately. I know ChatGPT can be complete BS sometimes, but I honestly couldn't find any other resources.

The game works perfect, audio is perfect....no issues. According to ChatGPT it is completely original.

Thanks in advance for you help, looking forward to some feedback.

Probably why I turned to the informed and knowledgeable group of super awesome people that reside on this website. Let's try and keep things constructive, you definitely know better.

Well that gave me a chuckle. You can't just rock up to a website with zero feedback and no posts and expect someone to send you a grand.

Super glad that wasn't my expectation. I'm not even shipping the thing. Please read the original post again. I simply want guidance regarding pricing. I'm not looking to sell this here.

Thank you!

This is marked as a FS (For Sale) post on the Marketplace. Asking for feedback history for such an expensive item isn't as insulting as you interpret it to be. Any experience/feedback history on selling stuff (even non-related items in other hobby spaces or bigger items like car parts) will help with buyer confidence, if your intent is to sell as indicated on the title of the thread.

If you're just looking for information, you may need to change the title for clarity, or post on a different forum section. Snapping back at a more well known forum member when you're looking for help is probably not the play.

Its original & clean so maybe a tad high but in the ballpark imho.
Price check thread would be a better place to move this.

I didn't realize that this thread was specifically for FOR SALE items, my apologies. Regardless of whether or not I'm trustworthy has nothing to do with what I asked in my original post. I merely asked for guidance on the pricing.

Zepherino, my response to DJsheep was in regards to a post that he deleted which was condescending. Clearly he felt a certain way about it and that is why he deleted it. You are reading things out of context. Just because a member is well known does not make them a saint.

ImportantBet- Thank you for the link, I'll try and find my answer there.

Best to all.

Best to all.

I posted this one line verbatim “using Chat GPT to price PCBs is wild”. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Wasn’t an attack on you, nor condescending, just an opinion.

I edited the post to ask for feedback because we’ve had a lot of scammers and AI shitposts here lately, and being your account has been dormant for 3 years and this is your first post, it was a bit suspicious.

That’s all. Dunno what that has to do with me being a saint or whatever princess. Pffft. Another added to the ignore list.

"Using Chat GPT to price PCBs is wild. Carry on”

Buddy, that is what you actually wrote. First you delete it, and then you misquote it. Just be yourself and stand behind your words. I'm not offended, I just don't see why someone would jump in a thread and try to be smug and dismissive to someone asking a simple question. Be a better human, man.

Everyone else, thank you!

Everyone has the right to an opinion and/or change their mind when posting.

This is a hobbyist site, with posters that have real lives.

If you want them to spend any of their limited free time to provide you with free advice on pricing a board you decided to already sell elsewhere, perhaps you could come across a little more humble. Judging by your limited interactions here thus far, maybe this isn’t the community for you. @djsheep is one of the most valuable contributors we have who’s gone out of his way to sincerely help people. I have no skin in this convo, but IMO your attitude towards him is pretty rich for someone with such a limited posting history and/or lack of feedback.

Trust here, like anywhere in a hobbyist messageboard community, is earned over time & by the content in which you create. It’s unfortunately not going to be immediately granted after 3 prior posts from a dormant account.

Believe it or not (!), no one owes you an instant explanation or quote for your somewhat common Moonwalker PCB. Anyone that decides to respond to you is doing it on their own time.

We already have some Moonwalker pcbs listed here , on Arcade Projects forum and tbh you could find a better answer than to write a promt in chatgpt to know with how much to list your stuff .

We have :

here -> 700€

here -> 700€

sold here -> 550€

sold here -> 600$ usd

etc

of course , the shipping price not included , but i think you can find some refferences about prices
