I'm getting together a Model 2 setup to put into one of my Aero Cities. The cabinet's PSU definitely couldn't handle it so I'm picking up an external power supply that I can hopefully mount to the board along with the PCB.

I don't think I've seen a definitive amperage but I think this 5V, 18A Mean Well power supply should work. From what I've read, the Model 2 only needs a 5V line, 12V only goes to the case fans.

Am I missing anything? I just want to be sure this one's big enough for it.

Piggybacking off this thread to get an understanding: What PSUs did Aero Cities originally ship with and could they not have adapters made for the Model2s? Not trying to say you can't use alternatives, but I'm just trying to get an understanding if a "Sega" way existed back in the 90's to adapt Aeros to Model2s. I know Blast Cities and Versus Cities had kits for Model2s, but I am not sure about if a direct interface for Model2 existed for Aero.

Aero Cities have the 400-5149 power supply, which can do 7A on the 5V rail. I assume back in the day they'd just stick a 400-5330-02 model 2 power supply in there or probably just use Astros for the model 2 titles.

I have never seen an official solution for running Model 2 on an Aero. I doubt that one exists.
