Sega Naomi I/O P2 start won't work

I was wondering if there are any of you have that come across this issue before?

My Sega i/o that I got from my Naomi won't register the P2 start button.

It registers every other button except for P2 start.

I've checked the loom and it can't be the loom as the moment I use a different i/o, P2 works perfectly fine.

As you can see from these caps, they're screwed. Would recapping these make it work? Where does one even find these caps from?

All else fails, I can always just purchase another from yaton, I just figured if I can use this board, why not?

Traces around IC3/C5, is that dirt or is it corrosion?


You can replace all the caps on there with digikey # UWX1C101MCL1GB

I'll have to double check - if it's corrosion, I won't bother trying to replace the caps.

that's sulphuric acid - the capacitor has burst.

you need to clean and recap it first - then go looking for the fault.
