So I got this cabinet and I want to rewire it to eventually support a cps3 and want to do the wiring my self. Time being I have an Xbox and a Dreamcast inside of it. While I was trying to remove some wires I cut one coming from the Sega amp. I don't know where to reconnect it to but the audio is no longer coming out from the speakers. I don't know how to navigate this cabinet but would appreciate a push in the right direction. The cable highlighted is the one that was cut.

That plug is the volume control and goes to the potentiometer. Two of the pins are shorted like in your picture. 2+3 maybe.
The others are left, middle and right and go to the pot. I can check on one I have and confirm.

Here is a page where someone is troubleshooting the sound and has some details.

It's under the monitor bezel in an European upright. Your cabinet is American.

For you, it's behind the coin door. You can actually see it in your pic.

Any tips on how to get behind there? I'm going to reapproach this hopefully this afternoon

I have the same cab: There's a plate that needs to be removed (forever) between the control panel and the back that will give you a WAY better access:

it's a great cab btw because all looms are there, analog included.

I love this cab. Although my dream is a Naomi Universal, I'm really enjoying this one.
