Thanks for your help. I thought capcom's was the best, so I bought it. I'm going to look for the ones you tell me about in ebay and similar stores.Yes, avoid using the Capcom I/O ( honestly I'd avoid using it on anything as it adds lag ).
A Sega Type3 is what I generally recommend but you should be fine with a Sega Rev. B. Those are two I/O boards I test with during development.
AWESOME!!As for dip switches, the only good source for them I found was in the Virtua Tennis 4 manual. Again, not all games will support all resolutions.

You still didn't tell me what monitor you have in your Astro City? Normally Astros have dual sync monitors. If you're not sure about your monitor, take a pic of the small adjustment board (also known as the remote).
Okay, so that's all the Astro can yield. Well, now if yes, I need a blast or something more modern. Thank you all very much for the quick answers and for the help. This is a great community with people willing to help always.Yeah, that's not going to work. MS9-29 is 15khz and 24khz only. RE2 outputs 31khz at minimum.
Just to double check, take a pic of the chassis (or the remote), just so I can verify it's indeed the original chassis on the monitor.

A sega Net city or New Net City would be great if you want to stay CRT, as the cab has a JVS IO built in.![]()
Ii think, it’s the standard one. I think I will look for a blast city or newer one.![]()

I don't know of a JAMMA adapter for the IOs you posted, but the previously mentioned sega rev B IO is JAMMA.
