I owned a (used) pair of official Sega stools, honestly the Taito ones are better IMO.
The plushy fabric of the Sega stools will absorb nicotine and ass smell like nothing else.
The faux leather/plastic of the Taito stools is easier to clean and more resistant to bad smell absorption.
Padding runs thicker on Taito as well, it makes for a more comfortable sit.
Taito still sells both versions (classic and 48cm) of the stools new, be prepared however...
Shipped it was almost 600$ for 4 of them (about 148$ a pop).
Sega I think the only option is used, last I knew Ken @ "thegameroom" had a few (he is in USA tho).
