FS Segasonic the Hedgehog PCB System 32 with Trackball IO

For Sale
The game seems to be 1:1 with the motion of your trackball. It has no momentum. You need a ball in better than tip top shape that free spins or else it's a test of endurance. I tried out different bearings and read up on what the Golden Tee people do, but I never really finished.

It definitely works better with US sized trackballs, 3" over those tiny ones they put into candy cabs.

I don't think it's terrible either, just not very good.

I've got a new one. :)

Maybe its the trackball io? The original one has the right resistors. Im not sure if the wheres wally one has the correct resistors. I have nos sega trackballs and they seem to be okay. Might need some high quality greese

I noticed, when I use some hand cream before playing, than it plays alot smoother, ... Its something I have to investigate soon haha. My Trackball I/O is original, as I got a original (just de-suicided) board. :)

Even nos ones needs maintaining and lubrication. They dont greese them at factory and if they did its long gone already. If you can hear the trackball rolling, then bearings needs lube or filled with dirt or the wrong sized ball. A properly working one spins with very minimum noise.

Yeah, 3-in-1 oil on the bearings directly will solve all noise problems. It should be super smooth.

grease is good when there's a lot of pressure and forces involved which makes it great for joysticks. but if you want free-spinning with very low pressure Like a spinner or a trackball, you want the bearings to be completely clean or oiled, Grease will slow it down

like all those fidget spinners that were all the rage used skateboard bearings with the grease REMOVED to keep them spinning for minutes, otherwise they'd stop almost immediately after you stopped pushing them.
