Seimitsu Joystick Dust covers with no shaft cover?

I'm mostly talking shit but I think the LS-32 is a weird stick. It allows you to push the stick past the point of actuation, causing the spring to compress and the stick to lift up. It just feels weird. It's much more pronounced on the newer ones as far as I can tell.

This is super comprehensive. Thanks for putting this together! Really helpful to see just how the various sizes fit with each other. Looks like the JLF is too small for the newer LS-32-02.
Were you able to try the Older LS-32 w/ JLF Dust Washer?

Older LS-32 has the same shaft. Apart from the switches, the joystick hasn't really changed in 35 years.

Standard JLF dust washers will fit the thinner Seimitsu shafts, like the ones in LS-56 and 58.

Ah, got it. I'm puzzled, then. How can the same washer/shaft combo can work for @ImportantBet but not @notsonic ?

Maybe there's an even newer revision of the LS-32 than the one I have. I can't say for sure if they're from before or after 2017.

Edit: The LS-32-02's I have are from 2014.

The dust cover ImportantBet has isn't a stock one. That's my guess.
