@bobbydilley do you mind taking more pictures of the NF-DX gun sensor pcb? I would like to see what parts it uses so I can probably replicate it.

interesting that does make sense. When I was using the wii sensor bar for testing, I did notice that the leds would produce a bit of heat. Never noticed before. Not sure if newer leds produce less heat. I will be testing both games with a generic IR led once it arrives. I guess the player 2 gun sensor pulses so it doesn’t cause interference with player 1? Also turns out that any CCD camera will work, I tried it with a color camera instead of the black and white cameras the cabinets had. I guess it makes sense because it’s the same tech and it’s a generic Sony CCD camera. As far as I know, the LED is pulsed alternatly with the LED in the Player 2 gun.
I did however just stick a PSU on mine and the LED shone for a good few minutes without getting too hot as far as I remember!
Also on a single Crisis Zone cabinet I could see the LED pulsing (very slowly, but thats probably due to the camera refresh rate) and that only has one player, so maybe it pulses to stop it getting too hot?
Time crisis 3 is a 246 exclusive game. It does use the same I/O and wiring as Time Crisis 2 but you’ll need an extra cable for video/gun syncNoob question: I have a Time Crisis 2 dual cab and a Namco 256. Is Time Crisis 3 plug and play if I swap it in for Time Crisis 2?
If you need a namco 246c i have some to sellUgh. Getting murdered by the 246/256 compatibility issues today. NAMCO is no Sega when it comes to backwards arcade compatibility.
