SF3 2nd Impact Cartridge battery

Folks, my understanding is that removing the battery on the SF3 2nd Impact Cartridge does not make any difference due to some reasons that I do not know and understand. Is that true? I have 2nd impact cart that I am using, wondering if removing the battery will cause any issues running the game. Thanks.

You can remove it with no issues.
