SFIII 2nd Impact NoCD

I doubt it has any special AI, its hard because its set to the hardest settings, alot of Asian version of fighting games were like this. One noted one that I played alot was Street Fighter Zero 2 Alpha (asian version), super hard AI but when you go settings you see the difficulty is set to the hardest mode.
It does have special AI; you need to play it to believe it. I’ve played these versions for hundreds of hours.

The normal AI on hardest difficulty on the regular/DS versions is a joke compared to 3S’s Asian version. It helps make you a better player.
 
just for the record - CPS3 had no any "special versions" for different regions, they released only one game binaries for all of them.
but, it may behave different depending on country/region byte from cart firmware.

I don't believe there may be some "special AI" for some country, well, because it makes no sense to code some special complicated AI code which will not work for main target market(s) (Japan, US), but only for some secondary market.
as was said above, it's more likely they just crank up the difficulty.

I've checked SF3 2nd/3rd games code awhile ago, and there is indeed special code paths in case of Asia region, but iirc nothing special, they just tweak some values here and there.

Try a run of the Asia 3S BIOS on hardest difficulty setting & let me know if you still think there’s “nothing special”, especially when you’re up against Akuma. It is light years ahead in difficulty compared to the other regions’ hard level eight difficulty.

The CPU’s reading of your inputs with the Asia BIOS is insane…have you ever seen the CPU on the versions we normally play parry you 5-6 times in a row, multiple times per round? Chronically cancel your throws? Its super predictive & this is coming from someone that can perfectly parry a Level 3 parry the ball bonus round & can score SS+ on level 8 difficulty.

They are not equal.
