Hi to everyone, I'm completely noob when it comes to CPS3 and I have several questions.
I'm going to buy a CPS3 system in the next days but I have some (many) doubts: do SFIII:3rd rev A 990512 and rev B 990608 share the same encryption keys and cart? I mean, if I get a non modded rev B full set, can I burn a rev A ISO, put it in the CD drive and flash it using the cart that comes with the rev B?
And can I use a SCSI2SD in order to do that?
BTW I see some successor boards to SCSI2SD, i.e. ZuluSCSI Compact RP2040 or BlueSCSI... do they work with the CPS3 system or does it need a specific SCSI2SD revision?
Same with the SuperBIOS/UltraBIOS... does it need a specific SCSI2SD or do these newer boards work?

Thank you in advance

versions are derived from the CDs so you can burn a CD with either revision and write it onto the SIMMs as long as the 3rd strike cartridge is CD bios cart

would suggest you to get a bluescsi board as those are readily available and yes you can use bluescsi ODE with original carts

same suggestion here get a bluescsi board and would work with both ultrabios and original bios carts.

Cool… I’m negotiating for a nice 3rd Strike full kit, but it’s a rev B and I want the A… so basically I can buy that, burn the Rev A and reflash it.
Isn’t there any copy protection? I mean aside from the encryption and the cart. Anything preventing CD-R copies to run?
