The SMS-on-MD cart pcb is a design that allows Master System roms to he played directly on the Megadrive/ Genesis in its own dedicated Megadrive cart. It acts like a built-in power base converter. There are already similar items available on the market but this one has a few advantages:

---built-in pause button (right on the cart!)

---99.9% compatibility with existing SMS rom set. Only F16 is incompatible due to it using a video mode not supported by the console. Even tricky games like Sinobi work!

---option to populate the cart with FERAM for save games. (Phantasy Star etc.)

This product was actually commissioned by a customer. They wanted something similar to the design that allowed re-issued titles of SMS games that were released directly for use on Megadrive/Genesis such as the re-issued Phantasy Star Fukkokuban but his main interest was in playing Shinobi.
