[SOLVED] Difficulties with suicided X-Men vs Street Fighter US board converted to multi.

Okay, so I lucked into another CPS2 A/B board set from a cab with a busted monitor The new B-board is an un-suicieded Marvel
Super Heroes. It boots, and has weirdly corrupted video. Swapped B-Boards to my Suicided XvSF multi boot...it works!

...with corrupt video.

I have a known good monitor, along with an XRGB-Mini, so I can validate video output. Definitely the video output from the new A-board and not the monitor. Try Marvel Super Heroes on my original A-board, no boot.

So in summary, I have two busted A-boards, but one is more busted than the other. Don't suppose you guys know where I could track down at least 1, but ideally 2, known-good A-boards? :\

Failing that, any resources for potentially repairing at least one of them?

Potentially. I have another cabinet in my garage - need to swap monitor chassis (the one it came with is bunk).

May just yank the power supply out of that and hook it to my XRGB-mini. That would let me capture HDMI video of what's up as well (albeit washed out - don't have any pots on hand).

Hooked up via the XRGB-Mini to my HDTV, I get an absolutely perfect, clear picture!

Just need to sell this extra Marvel Super Heroes B-Board and call it a day. As for the power supply on my cab, I have no idea why it is suddenly showing noise on my monitor. It wasn't doing that last week, but now it does it on every game. That's a totally unrelated problem though. Now that you mentioned it, it certainly does look like AC voltage noise.
 
in the video clip earlier in this thread - is the control/LCD being left sit on a CARPET? not sure that's the most static-friendly place to put anything, even in passing or briefly. From experience, static is a no-no, and will cause subtle damage or a total kill to alot of devices. Even if you do not FEEL static bangs from earthed objects about your shack, wearing the wrong shoes or socks will make you a potential ESD murderer..

SAY NO TO CARPET!!!!!
