So I need a 1080p monitor that has HDMI input and it MUST have the ability to automatically turn on when power is applied. It should be VESA mountable.

The golden tees can support any size monitor but the manual recommends a 42-55" LCD. I would prefer if it doesn't have any "smart tv features" but ultimately low price is more important. I don't know how important "gaming" mode or if different response times really affect gameplay? I mean, it's not really reactive in that sense. I want it to look good of course, but I don't want to splurge for the best possible specs.

Ok... so good news. I was able to find the factory settings menu on the Dynex TV that was already attached. I didn't think it could be turned on automatically, but it seems like there is a secret menu setting that allows for it! So this means that I don't need to buy a new monitor with an auto-on feature!

I'm going through this same problem again. This time I'm working on a Golden Tee 2021 that has a Hisense TV on it. There doesn't appear to be any auto on feature in the regular or factory settings menus. I will either need to buy another monitor or figure out another solution to force the tv on? Does anyone have a recommendation for a good panel known to work with golden tees and turns on automatically? I am hesitant to buy another TV unless I know it turns itself on with AC power.

I ended up just using a Sony TV I already owned. It's 48" and does automatically turn itself on with power. I am just going to keep the 50" hisense it came with and use that for watching youtube at the shop. I didn't want to give up my good tv at first, but whatever... better to make money with what you got than go out spending more and then getting the wrong thing.
