So I've been using a Sega JVS I/O to connect a Taito Type X to a Sega Aero City. I can't figure out how to connect the audio out of the Type X to the cabinet. As of right now, I've been using headphones that I connect to the audio out jack on the Type X. How can I wire it so the audio connects to the cabinet? Or is it supposed to come from the JVS I/O board?

Thanks for looking everyone, appreciate all the help everyone has provided here.

Aero City does mono sound only, afaik. It's not a good cab for doing JVS with, but you can force it.

Nothing wrong with mono.

Unlike the Capcom JVS IO, the Sega JVS IO doesn't have an amp on it. So you need to wire up one separately. I would just use some cheap Chinese thing that runs on 12V.

Ok I'm trying to plan this out.

Do I need a stereo or mono mini amp? Which of these two do I need for this. I'm assuming the mono one since the Jamma harness only has +/-.

Second, wiring this up. Do I put the amp between the Jamma harness and the speakers? Run the jamma's +/- to the amp's input and then the amp's output directly to the speakers?

Lastly, powering this thing. Can I chop the amp's power cord and then wire it directly to the arcade's power supply? I'd like to turn it on when the arcade turns on.
