Hi Folks,

I have this guy for sale - https://crtdatabase.com/crts/sony/sony-kv-27fs100l

I was going to hold onto it for "some day" when I could get it all setup with a RGBs->Component converter, but I don't think that day is going to come anytime soon, and it's damn heavy, and my back isn't getting younger!

So - looking to see it off to a new home. I don't have the remote for it (didn't come with it when I got this about 5 years ago).

I will take pictures this next weekend - its in storage, but everything worked great when I put it in storage a few years back - I will take a portable battery that has AC outputs and plug it in and get some pictures of it to drop here. Look for some pictures next Saturday.

Well - my Little anker 421 couldn't provide enough power for it to fully come on - let me look for a really long extension cord and try again next weekend - in the meantime, here is a picture of it not turned on.

Here is a video I took of it today - playing Sonic on a genesis - plugged into composite input (not even component or svideo!)

EDIT: I ended up being talked into keeping it by you fine folks... :). Off the market!

If I knew what my job/where I'll live situation would be in a few months I'd be all over this. I had one years ago in San Diego and got rid of it (along with another 27" Trinitron) when I moved into a smaller place. Been kicking myself in the butt ever since.

That is a beautiful tube. I have a similar one but Toshiba also with component. I use a Scart switcher and have 6 different Jamma boxes and consoles hooked up to it. I can safely say its picture quality is better than my other 29 in arcade monitors. Don't sell yours, keep it!

It is super tempting now that I fired it up again - lol. It looks fantastic, and while it IS heavy, 27" is a good size.
Don't sell it. $250 won't make up you kicking yourself later down the road. $250 won't cover up for the super cool visual experience you can keep enjoying for years and years. You know how it feels. Don't give it up!

My primary CRT is a Sony FS120 pretty much identical to the FS100 here. Its a really great set.
I do have other favorites like my Panasonic TAU but my primary is the Trinitron by a hair

Over a decade ago I would pay about 50$ to 80$ per CRT and hoarded several
The rarer CRTs are the VGA CRT Monitors that you can't even find a listing for

Its crazy to think even common CRT TVs back then are getting harder and harder to find
