The AIM is that in the instance of running boards that only output JAMMA audio, those can simply be plugged into the JAMMA edge. For those boards with stereo output, some extra wiring will be required at the board but not inside the cab to have stereo sound.

Is it just a matter of running separate cables and terminating them to the same speaker terminals? Do I have to wire in any resistors? Also, I am aware that there is a way to output stereo to unused pins on the JAMMA harness, but that only works if the board outputs sound through the JAMMA edge. The boards I will be wiring will be: Sega ST-V, CPS1, CPS2, CPS3, NAOMI. These all have separate CN connectors or RCA's for stereo output. I will be using a TDA7297F for both volume control and as an amp.

I use a high/low converter like these;

I crimped a CN connector to it so I can connect it to all stereo boards that don't have RCA outs.
You could also connect the high/low converter to your Jamma edge and go from there to your amp for mono sources (just splice the mono from the edge to both left and right of the converter).

I do the same. I use cinch RCA connectors to attach a female connector to CN connectors that don't have RCA's. Works well. I have done that for the ST-V board and CPS1 boards that have stereo output. That part I get.

So the question is from the board, the next connection is the amp/volume control. The stereo output from the amp/volume control, can that be wired right into the speaker terminal or spliced into the speaker wire without issue? I figure that there might but interference because the signal coming off the board's stereo output might also try to ground back through the JAMMA audio connection. So do I need to build a circuit?

Personally I would connect a high/low converter to the Jamma edge, this way you get the output to line level and can connect the RCA plugs to your amp. So you would output dual mono to your stereo wired speakers.

JAMMA -> High/low converter -> RCA to Amp -> L/R speakers
