SSF2 Tournament PCB

How do you want to play it online? You would need teleportation to get to the correct station!
You'd need a server to make that happen. Also on each CPS2 you'd need an adapter to com port (IIRC that was RS232) and a client running on the PC. Not that it would be very complicated on the software side, but rather on the hardware. I guess you could also do it just with an arduino on each client...
if you can develop an adruino board or an adapter that hook up to existing arcade hardware CPS3, CPS2 and connect to a server and allow people to play online, I will be down for to buy some. I've been dreaming to play Third Strike online with friends on actual CPS3 board. Please make this happen
Can you connect several CPS3 and play a tournament? In which games?

not really on CPS3 Sf3rd as this game does not have Tournament mode like SSF2. I am just saying if someone can create an adapter to allow CPS3 board connect to a server (lobby), it seems to be feasible to allow mulitple players to join the lobby and in turn allow them to play each other similar like Tournament setup.

basically fightcade with original hardware?

You also HAVE to have 4 cabs with 4 CPS2 PCB's setup, correct? It doesn't support 2 or 3 if I remember correctly.

And for example it would take TOTAL code rewrite and added hardware so it really isn't possible to network these games over IP. So you will be stuck doing it the usual ways. Sorry to rain on the parade. :(

Not to to mention the cps2 linking isn't like Sega model 1/2 linking. You don't stay on the same cab players move to different cabs after each battle in ssf2 tournament mode.

Yep. You can see the craziness in my Tournament Battle videos from the last two years on Youtube.

Basically that what it is

However, wie still need tournament pcb for cps2. I ll take 4! Guess most people will take 4. :-)

hi everyone...i am a new user here. By profession i am a hardware design engineer. As per my experience i would like to suggest the same answer as suggested above that is Doesn't solve the problem of each station being assigned a number and the need to get out of your chair and physically move to a different station after each round. So IMO it's not possible by simply altering the hardware or software a bit. It would need a fundamental program rewrite.

This thread should be about making a replicat of the original tournament pcb nothing else ...

Is there a dedicated marquee for the Tournament battle? Or did it only use the new challengers marquee and that long banner that says ultimate competition? Considering on asking the guy on Arcade otaku on making one.
