I heard vewlixes can be a bit weird when it comes to voltages and was wondering if any Americans recommended an affordable step down converter to knock it down to 100v?

Would I still be able to run my phantom canyon nook to the internal power supply or should I have that as a separate lead if I lower voltage? Thanks.

You only really need the stepdown if you are using the stock jvs power supply made by weiya.

If you have or plan on using that psu, I have a fix for it to not need the stepdown.

I thought using it would be convenient. ESP when I put the Taito x3 in there.

What’s the fix?

There are a few components to replace on the JVS psu and some minor adjustments. Again, that's only if you are planning on using that psu in the cab, and dont want to use a step down. Otherwise you dont need to do anything to the cab. The X3 will run just fine without it.

Well, I suppose I could just run a surge protector into the cab, have the monitor, x3 and PC run on that, instead. And just have the 246 on it's own power supply...

I’d like to hear more about this if possible. I have wiring for a NAOMI setup, but lack a PSU for it, so this sounds like an easier route towards getting it wired up.
