Strikers III PS5 Ebay special: cracked resistor array

Picked up a Strikers 1945 III / Strikers 1999 sold as working on Ebay. Once it arrived, I realized the resistor arrays range from dinged (RA7, RA8 ) to shattered (RA9). Is that going to be a problem? What bad behavior would I expect from a non-functional resistor array?

I didn't see any behavioral problems after 1 loop except 1) EEP-ROM NG error on boot and 2) it's not saving settings. I'm assuming that means the 93C56 EEPROM at U28 is dead, which appears to be a common issue.

Wisdom from @Hammy :

the color will be washed out
these are color DAC
you can test them with a multimter. each pin should have the same value ohms between pin 1 and each pin
so test with one lead on pin 1
and go through all the pins
with power off OFC
it will step up, like pin 2 will be 0.2k , pin 3 2k , pin 3 22k, pin 4 220k
(example values)
if you can get the values, you can replace them with simple resistors

So I tested. RA7 and RA8 both had each successive pin providing doubled resistance, so the series went:
1k 2k 4k 8k 16k 32k 64k 128k

But RA9 gave unexpected results between 29k-40k for all of the last 5 pins, suggesting the crack totally separated them from the resistor array.

Now that I know how to test resistor arrays for their specs (thanks, Hammy!), it wouldn't be too hard to find a replacement. OTOH, I wasn't looking for another little project (resistor array + replace EEPROM). The seller is local, as it turns out, so I will see if he's willing to fix it or take it back.

I know what listing you bought that from.
Dude had like 3 somehow.
You should be able to just replace the array, still a good deal imho.

The fix is pence, you can use regular resistors if you can't find the correct array.
@caius also has one design that may work with surface mount resistors, if not it's easy for him to change it slightly to work.

Those resistors array are for RGB signals.
Check with the color patern if all is ok

@ForestOfDreams @Hammy It'd be a cheap and easy fix, but I have piles of cheap and easy fixes I need to get through The seller thankfully was very chill and suggested a return. Assuming the return itself goes fine, I'd be happy to buy from him again.

Yes, the parts is a custom resistor array used as RGB DAC, it uses a R-2R ladder inside, I have reproduced many similar parts, the only difference is the resistors values that may change.If you need it I can do a replacement very quick (I should have some Psikyo PCB)
